Is it fair that there are more hair salons in Dallas then art galleries? Where's the culture po

I would have to agree that there are probably more hair salons than art galleries in every major city. However, if the place you are going with this is "Dallas is a shallow, presumptious city with litttle substance", yes, I would have to agree.

I live here because because my family loves it, and I have found ways to be happy here, but this city and its local people are not my cup of tea. The only hope for this city is that more and more people from other real cities move here and take over. Dallas people primarily excel at 1) talking about their job or salary at partys, bars, and clubs, 2) snidely asking others what they drive, 3) only trusting and siding with people of their own race, 4) holding each other back, 5) being jealous of neighboring and culturally rich Houston, 6) creating powerless committees on how to improve their city.

Yes, I moved from Dallas a year ago...It was also ranked one of America's fattest cities. There is more preoccupation with pico de gallo than picasso. Report It

There are more hair salons than art galleries in any city you could ever pick.

Perhaps you're just not familiar with the selection of art galleries in Dallas and Fort Worth. Here's a link that lists them all:

Well there is more hair than art in Dallas.

There are a lot more people looking for a haircut on a Saturday afternoon than a new painting.

We should start a telethon to rectify this problem.
