Do you think I should dye my hair black?

I have naturally blonde hair, fair skin (that tans gradually if I wear sunscreen and don't burn) and blue eyes. I really wanna be different because I hate the whole blonde hair, blue eyes stereotype and I want to dye my hair black since it's so uncommon to have blue eyes with black hair. If you want a drastic change, color your hair medium brown or dark brown, even red (I don't quite know a lot of people with red hair and blue eyes). Stay away from black! The reason I say this:

Black is a very plain color that at first you absolutely love but after a while you get very bored with it. So you decide to either color it all a different color or get highlights. Here's where you run into your problem... Black also happens to be the toughest and the most evil color when it comes to getting it out of your hair. When that time comes, welcome to the world of bleach and dry hair. You will more than likely end up ruining your hair and will have to do treatments on it to make it more managable. I had to go through this when one of my friends wanted to rid her hair of the black that she had put in it. Not a fun process....

Go to a salon and talk to them about this. They will be able to suggest the best color for you. Good luck

i think that you should dye it. i dyed my hair black a few times as well and ive loved it more and more each time. it is a huge transition though so be prepared for the change

Well if your skin color is like hers I guess you could get away with it. Consult a hairdresser first, she/he will tell you if it goes with you or not. Sometimes something drastic is good, but sometimes it could be too much. I mean you don't want to end up looking like Morticia. LOL

actually if your naturally blonde, i would do "very dark brown" People will think your hair is black and it does look black, but it's not, and use a temporary one, it says it washes out, but it wont wash out.

I would suggest dark brown. I'm naturally blonde and I went black and it took me well over a year to dye it back again. I recently just went dark brown and it's a huge change that everyone noticed and it also makes my blue eyes pop out way more than when I had blonde hair. The only thing I found is that I have to wear more make up because my features are still fair - but that can be fun!

downside to black dyed hair is it is a nightmare to rid of should you choose to change your mind about the color

You should never color your hair more than three levels lighter or darker than your natural hair color. You should go to a salon and ask them what your natural level. It looks trashy if you do the extreme.

well if u really want to then i say go for it. personally i dont really like black hair but if u do then just make sure u keep the roots touched up. it looks kinda funky when u have black hair with blonde roots! and also, just a suggestion: if i got black hair id add platinum blonde chunks or streaks but then again thats just me.

hey i would keep it light for the summer and then go really dark in the winter, cuz if you go black, then you will be really hot when your outside, because well black absorbs all the rays of the sun.
